On November 16, 2023, ULC honored Dorothy Walker and awarded her the Model of Excellence Award for 2023. Ms. Walker is the Ballet Mistress at St. Mark's Dance Studio in Washington, DC and has a lengthy career in ballet and in teaching ballet.

Two of ULC's students also shared how the ministry has had an impact on their lives. With Leon Harris from NBC-4 News, as the MC, it made for a memorable night of fellowship.

We are so very proud of Arjinae Jones who has completed her bachelor's degree in Business Entreprenaurship/Marketing from the University of Massuchusetts- Lowell Campus.

Arjinae was also a DC CAP scholarship recipient. With a full scholarship and additional financial support that ULC provided through its scholarship fund, she was able to finish her degree debt free!  Keep posted for the news of her next steps....
