In the August of 2012 ULC's van was stolen while the kids were away at camp. It took months to settle with the insurance company. Then, the check received was not sufficient to fund another vehicle for the center's use. The Tyson's Virginia small group of Open Door Presbyterian Church decided to help. Each member of the group gave one day's wages and jointly donated the funds to ULC. The 4.700.00 that they raised provided enough money to purchase a 2011 12 passenger van! A day's wages made a big difference!
